There are very few people these days that haven’t used eBay for some reason or another and have sold or bought an item. But how is the level of satisfaction faring? Don’t you find the terms and conditions and the whole structure of the website a bit confusing? True, it is a mega portal, meant to offer a million kinds of possibilities but are they complicating it too much? A couple of years ago eBay was much simpler and straightforward. Now, with a bunch of new features coming every 4 months or so the user is often losing time to figure out how the rules of the game have changed and whether they will profit or lose from that.

From ballerina shoes to human resource software, eBay sells everything and for everyone. In these hard financial times it is not a surprise that more and more people are looking for a deal online that will save them a couple (or a lot) of bucks. This is entirely possible on eBay. The trouble comes with complicated rules, a lot of fine print and overloaded personal space for the users. Resolving issues and the need for some professional help from the website’s administrators are not uncommon issues. Before engaging in an auction it is imperative for everyone to get to know their rights and obligations once the bidder is chosen and the transaction initiated.

eBay have achieved some significant progress regarding these issues throughout the years but a more flexible system and clearer rules are still needed in order to be possible for the users to avoid any kind of confusion, disappointment and especially fraud. The auction website is here to stay, this is for sure, as it serves its purpose to a great extent but new quality and not quantity improvements are much desired.

Now I understand that when companies make thousands of products, there are bound to be the odd defects or problems here and there. However, I wouldn’t expect a huge company such as Sony to mass produce thousands and thousands of Playstation 3’s that have built in problems that result in a dead console after just 18 - 24 months. This is what they have done, and the problem of the ’yellow light of death'is common language amongst gamers these days.

Now someone may expect to pay £300 when purchasing designer silver rings that will last a lifetime, however, for the common gamer such as myself £300 is a lot of money and we wouldn’t expect a console to break after just 2 years. The yellow light of death, or YLOD as it has been named, occurs when the soldering of the computer becomes unstuck, which has happened to many thousands of people in the last few years. This is effectively the end of the computer, and as Sony warranties only last for 12 - 15 months, there is no solution. Except to pay them £180 to fix it for you!

It seems only fair to warn consumers of this fact so that they can be aware before purchasing the £300 console. I only found out about this earlier this week when my console died.

To my surprise when I looked online it was a very common problem. Sony have come out and denied the extent of the problem, claiming it had only happened in a handful of cases. However when I looked on Youtube at a video on how to manually fix the problem yourself (which is not advisable unless you are a computer genius and are familiar with circuit boards and heat guns etc!) I noticed that it had over 2 million hits! Not a common problem hey Sony?

If you are always wondering what kind of entertainment to get for your computer or what would deliver you the best software experience, then you are the kind of person that seeks digital products even when enjoying his Vita Coco. But sometimes we need to think outside the box to find the best products we need.

For everyday use, many people buy programs much more complicated. Considering the fact that most of us have smart phones of the latest generation, why are we using and buying expensive software when we can visit the app stores of out smartphone producer and get the everyday simplified app we need.

For example, you are a person who wants to control his finances more efficiently. And you choose to purchase money management software from the web. Well, still do it over the web but on your mobile and while using your app store on your smartphone. iTunes has many of the money management services for free on their Apple devices, Ovi Store also offers great such programs for the Nokia users.

And it is not only money management, from games to music applications and camera software, app stores for mobile devices are the best way to save some money from useless programs. Many free applications will cost you nothing to purchase over the web using the app store programs and thus you will be using the best of your smartphone. Check out the online store of your smart phone and purchase the best software and apps either for free or for a insignificant price compared to the software you used to buy for tens of pounds to get on your PC.

The internet is something we take for granted and utilise everyday without even thinking about it. It’s inconceivable to imagine a day going by without having the web available. Yet without having the right service provider that is exactly what will happen to you so extra care should be taken when selecting your broadband service, particularly if you use it on your phone whilst travelling. If you get stuck on how to decide then you can go onto the broadband watchdog website which provides the latest information on the latest movers and shakers.

One of the best providers for obtaining a good mobile roaming solution is a company called abroadband. They have noticed a gap in the market that other providers have either ignored or are not even aware of. Mobile use abroad is usually expensive, no matter what price plan you are on, yet we all still gleefully text and upload photos with impunity when we’re on our holidays trying to forget how much it’s going to cost us at the end of the month. Despite all the major providers competing heavily in the home market on tariff and price, very few offer their customers decent rates when travelling abroad. The thinking behind this is that most people don’t travel abroad more then once or twice a year. Abroadband has looked at this and realised that when you take into account the increased business and social travel then actually there are more people travelling about the world every year then ever before. With tablet and Smartphone use equally on the increase, the internet is in high demand when on the move.

As there is no monthly fee on the service you can use as much or as little as you want without ever having to worry about a large bill coming in. This provides you much more control over how much you spend when away whilst simultaneously allowing you to access the internet as much or as little as you need to. As if worried about losing custom to another provider abroadband even include a price comparison application which you can use at any time to ensure that you are getting the best deal with them. They claim that customers pay up to 80% less then on other service providers and having used the service a lot in testing recently, I have to say it does average out regularly in the late 60-70% mark when compared to traditional providers.

Charging only 59 euros per megabyte used, abroadband is an effective alternative for net surfing when abroad. They have their own secure network which prevents any illegal access into your materials and partner with reliable providers in the countries the service covers. When you make your order, the sim card or USB arrives within 1 – 2 business days (if you want it faster you can opt for express delivery) and if you’re not happy then you can return the card or stick within 14 working days.

Abroadband is an effective travel alternative in a market that is too busy in concentrating on the home crowd.

Our experience of reviewing numerous web sites and products has helped us identify certain points that one must consider at the earliest. If you are visiting a web site that sells bespoke suits, the first point that you should check is whether the web site is designed for broadband users or ordinary internet users.

Most of us have a broadband connection at home but that does not mean that the dial up internet users do not surf online. The web site that provides an option between the data heavy and a simple web site is a professional one.

The next point you should consider is whether the online shopping experience has been made as convenient as possible. If you have to open multiple windows to view, compare and buy the product, chances are high that you will end up with a dozen windows with absolutely no idea about what you were doing. On the other hand, a website that understands that buyers would want to compare stuff before purchasing the same would automatically include this feature in each and every page.

Finally, look out for broken links and other signs that indicate that the website is not being maintained properly. If that is the case, chances are high that your order may not be processed quickly or the product that you receive may not be good enough as you expected. Try accessing each and every web site you visit on a regular basis and you will automatically understand whether it good or not. This will help you when you finally shop on the internet.

The best way to identify whether a product or service is worth its cost is to use or experience it. Sadly, we will have to spend money before we can play our hands on the product or service. This creates a piquant situation where our ability to get good value for money is affected by the fact that we end up with zero money when we do get the necessary information. How to proceed?

Well, don’t you think you can analyze whether offers related to cheap flights are worthwhile if you can view your experience online? In the same way, you will be in a position to understand the pros and cons of different products if you could see people using it in real life. Log on to the internet and checkout individuals who have uploaded details about various products on the web. Search for videos.

A video of an individual using a particular product in real life will help you know more about the practical difficulties involved. You can simply ignore the advice or recommendation that the individual provides. Just focus on the video and watch the product being used as many times as possible. Avoid advertorials because their final goal is to convince you to buy the product. Rather, check out real life experiences that will help you determine whether the money that you pay for this product is worth the benefit.

This is one advantage of using the internet and searching for online reviews before finalizing the purchase. Any other solution is going to take a lot of time and is not going to be as efficient and effective as the web.

The other day I went to the nearby clinic for my hair loss treatment and was shocked to see all the gadgets in doctor’s room were switched on and there was no one in that room. Imagine if all the homes in world would do the same, how much of energy we must be wasting on a daily basis. Because of electronic gadgets there is more entertainment and life becomes more comfortable. Some of us cannot live without laptops, television, mobile phones, dishwasher, digital alarm clocks and etc. However the more these gadgets make our life comfortable the more damage it does to the environment. The energy consumed by the home gadgets collectively risks our environment. There are few who are eco-minded and they are eco-friendly. Living green does not mean dumping all the electronic gadgets. They simply mean using the home electronic gadgets that reduce carbon footprints. Energy vampires such as televisions, computers, phones, laptops consume energy even when they are on stand by. Ensure to unplug gadgets like mobile phones, MP5’s after they are fully loaded. It’s better to plug into power strips which detects the devices when not in use and immediately cuts the energy. These gadgets contribute one percentage of carbon dioxide emission every year. Buy gadgets which are used for different purposes for example mobile phones can be used as calculator, alarm clocks, we can even use them as camera .This will minimize the energy waste and we can use the gadgets to its full potential.

Thankfully now besides everything else internet also has solutions for thousands seeking love and romance. Online dating services have been around since the internet became commercial. There are hundreds, possibly even thousands of dating services online. Some of these services are free, some paid, some large and some for certain groups of people. They often ride the fence between those looking to date and those looking for intimacy. Here are some quick reviews of the most popular dating sites:

Match.com: This website claims over 15 million users but most just have a free membership. If you just have a free membership you are not able to send or receive emails from other members. The website has the widest range of singles but it may be difficult to know if they are the real deal.

eHarmony: On eHarmony you have to pay a monthly fee which is about 50 dollars. It is intended for long-term relationships and not for just casual hook-ups. This monthly fee filters out many people who aren’t willing or able to pay that much to meet someone online.

Yahoo Personals – To have a yahoo personal account you must have a yahoo account. It is a safe environment for dating but the long-term results may not be there.

There are several other dating websites out there ranging from people of similar religion, hobbies and even profession. You can also find dating sites for those who love activities like running and jogging, so if you have the right type of saucony running shoes the right person might come along. No matter what site you choose there are no guarantees that you will find the right person. However, you never know, maybe you will find that right person online. There is really no way to know unless you try. So, good luck on your online search for love!

While trying to shop for a pair of shoes and chinos, my girlfriend drew my attention to garmin forerunner 110 she ended up buying it for herself of course. I bought my shoes and chinos then paid for quick delivery. The reason I usually pay for fast delivery is because I get very anxious of seeing my goods whenever I shop online. My wears finally arrived and I liked the shoe but I had a problem with the chinos. This was the fourth time I was experiencing this. I have never liked whatever type of trousers I buy and I always end up returning them. The trousers did not look like what I saw online and I sometimes feel the photos go through a bit of editing before they are posted online. On another thought, I have not experienced the same with buying shoes.

Furthermore, I don’t think an online retail company with a good reputation will want to jeopardise its reputation by uploading touched up pictures and having people return them all the time. My efforts to buy trousers online have never been successful. It is either too short, too tight or doesn’t just fit my personal style. I have made up my mind to stop buying them online since I keep on experiencing the same thing. Before the fourth return I had to make, a friend advised me after the third buy to stop trying to buy pants online. My response was that I have just been unlucky and it’s all been coincidences. I am sure a few other people have what they have decided not to shop for online because of the same or similar experiences. It is good to save yourself the pains of having to return all the time.
